One of the best ways to impart these values, is by volunteering as a means of helping others. As parents, we know that it takes a village to raise a child, so we are no strangers to needing help. Precisely, developing empathy and the skills to be of aid are a critical component of healthy childhood development.

It benefits us all if children have the opportunity to work with pillars of the community, like first responders. It’s crucial that children see the impact of their actions in giving back to those who help us, the underprivileged, and the older generation.
